9-Week Creative Design Class
The Homeschool Hangar is beyond excited to partner with MarniStar Creative Studio in bringing Interior Design & Fashion Design Studio to your students!
Students will explore the exciting worlds of fashion and interior design while developing artistic creativity, design thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Throughout this hands-on nine-week course, students will discover how professional designers transform inspiration into finished design concepts. Students will begin by learning the foundations shared by both fashion and interior design, including the elements and principles of design, color theory, inspiration, personal style, textiles, and the creative design process.
Students will then apply these skills to two areas of design. In Fashion Design, students will explore fashion illustration, fabrics, silhouettes, trends, and collection development. In Interior Design, students will explore space planning, furniture arrangement, materials, lighting, color palettes, and client-centered design.
Students will use sketching, fabric and material samples, color palettes, inspirational images, floor-planning tools, and mood boards to communicate their ideas and complete original fashion and interior design projects.
