1-Day Emergency Response Class

Emergencies can happen anywhere—and knowing what to do in the first few minutes can make all the difference. In partnership with Armor of Light, an American College of Surgeons (ACS) Stop the Bleed® instructor, The Homeschool Hangar is proud to offer this nationally recognized, hands-on lifesaving course.

​

The Stop the Bleed® program equips participants with the practical skills and confidence to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action while waiting for emergency medical services (EMS) to arrive. Through engaging instruction and guided hands-on practice, students will learn simple, evidence-based techniques that can save a life.

During this course, participants will learn how to:

• Recognize life-threatening bleeding

• Ensure scene safety and activate the emergency response system

• Apply direct pressure to control bleeding

• Pack wounds effectively

• Properly apply a tourniquet using nationally recognized techniques​

No previous medical training or experience is required. This course is designed for anyone who wants to be better prepared to help during a bleeding emergency, whether at home, in the community, or during everyday activities.

Upon successful completion of the course, each participant will receive an official Stop the Bleed® Course Completion Certificate, recognizing their training in lifesaving bleeding control techniques.

Tuition Policy

Tuition reflects full-session enrollment and covers materials, instructor planning, and scheduling. The Homeschool Hangar does not offer proration or refunds for late starts, absences, or withdrawals.

The Homeschool Hangar is a Step Up Direct Pay Provider. Families can reserve their scholarship funds for all classes through their EMA account.
