
Intro to Leathercraft
6-Week Hands-On Leatherworking Course for Ages 8+
Students will step into the world of traditional craftsmanship as they learn the art of leatherworking. From cutting and stamping to dyeing and assembling, learners will create unique, personal projects each week while building skills in design, patience, and attention to detail. Each participant will leave with a collection of handmade items and the confidence to continue exploring leathercraft beyond the course.

💲 Tuition: $350 per student (6-week session, all materials included)
Course Goals

Learn foundational skills in leather design, cutting, tooling, stitching, and finishing

Week 1: Intro to Leatherworking & Safety — Tools, materials, and first cuts

Week 2: Basic Cutting & Design — Patterns, edges, and a keychain project

Week 3: Stamping — Adding initials and decorative designs to a bookmark

Week 4: Dyeing & Decoration — Experimenting with color on earrings or small items

Week 5: Assembly & Hardware — Snaps, rivets, and a functional bracelet

Week 6: Showcase & Final Project — Student-choice creation with full skill set
Student Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will:
✔ Gain confidence in using leatherworking tools safely
✔ Learn essential techniques in cutting, stamping, dyeing, and assembling
✔ Take home five completed projects (keychain, bookmark, earrings, bracelet, and final custom piece)
✔ Be prepared to continue exploring leathercraft at home or in advanced classes
