Sewing Studio II

5 or 6-Week Sewing Class (prerequisite Sewing Studio I)

We are beyond excited to partner with MarniStar Creative Studio in bringing design and textile studios to your students!

In Sewing Studio II students will continue developing sewing skills through increasingly challenging projects that strengthen construction techniques, pattern creation, fabric coordination, and curved sewing. Each project builds upon previously learned skills while introducing new concepts that encourage creativity, independence, and confidence.

Students will create decorative and functional projects while learning to read directions, plan construction steps, and improve precision in sewing and finishing. Students will complete a decorative pillow with appliqué, a coordinating table runner, and a stuffed fabric bear while demonstrating increased sewing independence and craftsmanship.

Students are introduced to careers in fashion design, apparel production, costume design, pattern making, product development, retail merchandising, textile technology, and creative entrepreneurship.

Cape Coral Session:

🗓 Days: Tuesdays | October 27th and November 3rd, 10th and December 1st, 8th, 15th (No class Nov 17th & 24th)
⏰ Times: 10:00am – 12:00noon
🎓 Ages: 8+
💲 Tuition: $325 per student (6-week session, includes all materials)

Fort Myers Session:

📍 Location: 14070 Portico Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33905
🗓 Days: Fridays | October 30th and November 13th, 20th and December 4th, 11th (No class Nov 6th & 27th)
⏰ Times: 10:00am - 12:15pm
🎓 Ages: 8+
💲 Tuition: $325 per student (5-week session, includes all materials)

Naples Session:

📍 Location: 220 41st Ave NW Naples, FL 34120
🗓 Days: Thursdays | October 29th and November 12 and December 3rd, 10th, 17th (no classes Nov 5th, 19th & 26th)
⏰ Times: 10:00am - 12:15pm
🎓 Ages: 8+
💲 Tuition: $325 per student (5-week session, includes all materials)

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

Apply intermediate sewing techniques.
Construct projects using multiple sewing steps.
Create simple sewing patterns.
Sew accurate curved seams.
Coordinate fabrics for attractive finished projects.
Demonstrate proper pressing and finishing techniques.
Follow written construction directions independently.
Complete multiple intermediate sewing projects.

Tuition reflects full-session enrollment and covers materials, instructor planning, and scheduling. The Homeschool Hangar does not offer proration or refunds for late starts, absences, or withdrawals.
