6-Week Sewing Class

At The Homeschool Hangar, students don't just learn...they create. Your student will experience the pride, confidence, and joy that comes from building something with their own two hands. We are beyond excited to partner with MarniStar Creative Studio in bringing design and textile studios to your students! 

 

Sewing Studio I is the perfect introduction for students who have little or no sewing experience. In this hands-on class, students will build confidence as they learn to safely operate a sewing machine and master the foundational skills needed for future sewing projects.

From threading a machine to completing their very first handmade creations, students will learn each step in a supportive, encouraging environment. Along the way, they'll develop practical life skills, improve fine motor coordination, strengthen problem-solving abilities, and experience the satisfaction of making something they can proudly take hom

​By the end of the course, students will have the confidence to independently operate a sewing machine, understand the fundamentals of sewing, and be ready to continue developing this valuable lifelong skill.

Cape Coral Session:

Students Will Learn

• Sewing machine basics, including threading the machine and winding a bobbin

• How to control sewing speed through paper sewing practice

• Basic machine stitches and when to use them

• Fabric types and pattern fundamentals

• Measuring, pinning, and cutting fabric accurately

• The importance of pressing with an iron for professional-looking results

• How to sew a standard ⅝-inch seam

Tuition Policy

Tuition reflects full-session enrollment and covers materials, instructor planning, and scheduling. The Homeschool Hangar does not offer proration or refunds for late starts, absences, or withdrawals.
