Fashion Design Studio II
5-Week Advanced Creative Fashion Design Class
(Prerequisite Fashion Design Studio I)
At The Homeschool Hangar, students don't just learn...they create. Your student will experience the pride, confidence, and joy that comes from building something with their own two hands. We are beyond excited to partner with MarniStar Creative Studio in bringing design and textile studios to your students!
Students will continue their fashion design journey by developing an original fashion collection while learning the creative process used by professional designers. Building on the skills learned in Fashion Design Studio I, students will expand their knowledge of trend forecasting, textiles, fashion illustration, merchandising, branding, and collection development.
Throughout this six-week course, students will refine their artistic style, develop a fashion brand, explore textile manipulation, and create a coordinated mini collection complete with professional presentation materials. Students will gain confidence in communicating design ideas while strengthening creativity, critical thinking, and presentation skills.
Students will complete and present an original fashion collection featuring four to six coordinated designs, a designer logo, mood board, color palette, fabric selections, and a professional-style fashion portfolio.
Students are introduced to careers in fashion design, textile design, fashion illustration, merchandising, buying, visual merchandising, apparel product development, fashion marketing, costume design, and creative entrepreneurship.
