Meet Marni Eschman
Marni Eschman is a Florida-certified educator, fashion specialist, and founder of MarniStar Creative Studio with nearly 30 years of classroom teaching experience. Throughout her career, she has inspired thousands of students to discover their creativity while developing practical life skills that build confidence and independence. The Homeschool Hangar is thrilled to have Marni as an instructor!
Marni believes that every child is creative and learns best through hands-on experiences. She believes that creativity is not about being perfect—it's about learning to imagine, create, problem-solve, and discover what you're capable of. Her classes combine artistic exploration with real-world skills, encouraging students to create, experiment, and take pride in making something with their own hands.
Marni teaches a variety of creative courses including sewing, fashion design, interior design, hand sewing, mixed media art, watercolor, paper crafts, beach-inspired and coastal creative projects, and seasonal workshops. Whether students are threading a sewing machine for the first time, designing their own clothing collection, planning a dream bedroom, creating a handmade journal, painting with watercolors, or crafting coastal décor inspired by Florida's beautiful beaches, each class is thoughtfully designed to nurture creativity while developing patience, perseverance, critical thinking, and self-confidence.
With degrees in Fashion Merchandising and Education, along with decades of experience teaching Family & Consumer Sciences, fashion, design, and creative arts, Marni creates a welcoming classroom where students of all abilities feel encouraged to learn at their own pace. She believes mistakes are simply part of the creative process and celebrates every student's unique learning journey with encouragement, kindness, and enthusiasm.
Marni's philosophy is simple: every child deserves the opportunity to imagine, create, and discover their unique talents in a supportive environment. Her goal is for every student to leave class with more than just a finished project. She hopes each child leaves inspired to continue creating long after class ends—with the confidence to dream, design, and make something uniquely their own.
Because creativity is a journey—and every great journey begins with the confidence to create.
