About Carey

Carey is a retired nurse with 30 years of experience caring for others through some of life’s most challenging and joyful moments. Her nursing career taught her the importance of patience, compassion, and understanding and she brings these qualities to every learning experience. She is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming environment where students feel valued, confident, and encouraged to explore new things through hands-on learning.

Carey has been married to her husband, Roger, for 47 years, and together they have three children, wonderful spouses, and seven beloved grandchildren, affectionately known as their “grandwonderfuls!” Family, faith, and community are important parts of her life, and she also enjoys traveling and discovering new places.

Carey believes every child has unique gifts and abilities. Her goal is to help students grow, ask questions, try new things, and learn at their own pace while making meaningful connections along the way. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge, encouraging young learners, and making each class a fun, positive, and rewarding experience!
