Meet Ali Locke

Ali Locke is the founder of The Homeschool Hangar, a certified educator with 14 years of public school teaching experience, and a homeschooling mom of four. Her passion for homeschooling began long before she started educating her own children at home.

In 2012, Ali began conducting homeschool evaluations for a former student, opening the door to a community that would eventually become a significant part of her life's work. Throughout her teaching career, she taught nearly every grade level, from elementary through high school, gaining a unique perspective on the strengths and gaps within traditional education.

As she became more involved in the homeschool community, Ali began to recognize something equally important: families were searching for meaningful educational opportunities that went beyond textbooks and traditional academics. They wanted hands-on experiences, practical life skills, career exploration, and opportunities for their children to discover their individual gifts and interests.

In 2021, God placed the vision for The Homeschool Hangar on Ali's heart. Two years later, in 2023, she was finally able to begin homeschooling her own four children, bringing an entirely new perspective to her work as an educator and homeschool advocate.

Ali is especially passionate about trades education, hands-on learning, and creating opportunities for students to explore career paths beyond the traditional four-year college route. She believes education should prepare children for life, helping them develop practical skills, confidence, independence, and a sense of purpose.

Through The Homeschool Hangar, Ali works to bridge the gap between what families need and the educational opportunities available to them. From homeschool consultations and evaluations to enrichment programs, career exploration, and curriculum resources, her mission is to equip parents and create meaningful learning experiences for students.

Above all, Ali believes every child has been uniquely created with gifts, talents, and a purpose. Her heart is to help families discover those gifts and provide opportunities for their children to thrive.
